The Virginia Oral Health Coalition, in partnership with the Hampton Roads Community Foundation and United Way of South Hampton Roads, has been supporting efforts to increase regional collaboration around the issue of oral health by facilitating the South Hampton Roads Oral Health Alliance. Through the Alliance convenings over the past year, many of you have shared that there is a need to assess the current capacity of the dental safety net and work together to design some streamlined referral processes. With the impending decision about Medicaid expansion, this is also a fitting time to start planning for likely coverage changes in your service areas and how those changes could affect care delivery and utilization.
The Coalition would like to convene partners from the safety net and referring agencies as a first step to identify some opportunities to address our communities’ needs, and lay the groundwork for further innovation to enhance care delivery and improve access to care in South Hampton Roads.

Who Should Attend: This convening is primarily for those who are in leadership roles (CEOs, EDs, Program Managers) at safety net clinics in the South Hampton Roads region. Leadership from referring or partner agencies in health and human services or public health departments are also encouraged to participate.
Registration: There is no cost to attend. Seating is limited; pre-registration is requested by Thursday, June 14th to ensure the correct number of lunches are provided.
