Adapted from Healthcare for All Virginians (HAV), March 20, 2017
The American Health Care Act (AHCA) will be up for consideration in the House Committee on Rules on Wednesday, March 22. It is likely that this piece of legislation will move quickly to be considered on the House floor on Thursday, March 23 - the anniversary of the signing of the Affordable Care Act.
The AHCA as its written will adversely affect the economically disadvantaged, people with disabilities, women and children, and the elderly. View this webinar from VaOHC executive director Sarah Holland to learn more about how the AHCA may impact vulnerable Virginians, Medicaid and oral health coverage.
HAV has put together a list of resources that delve further into the AHCA and its potential impact on Americans.
Additionally, HAV has organized a letter writing campaign to tell House Members and Congress to vote NO on AHCA.
