About Tricia Rodgers

Patricia "Tricia" Rodgers is the program officer with Northern Virginia Health Foundation, where she manages funding initiatives designed to help nonprofit organizations address health care issues of the underserved within the communities of northern Virginia.  She helped oversee an oral health needs assessment conducted by the Foundation which demonstrated the need for oral health care; Tricia also regularly convenes area dental safety net providers to share best practices and support collaboration.  

She chairs Alexandria’s Childhood Obesity Action Network, a community initiative focused on reducing childhood obesity.  She is active in the Partnerships for a Healthier Arlington, the Arlington Partnership for Children Youth and Families, and the Alexandria-Arlington Extension Leadership Council.  She is a member of the Regional Advisory Board of the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth. 

Tricia holds two master’s degrees: a master’s in adult education from George Washington University and a master’s of social work from Catholic University.   She has been named a 2014 Alexandria Living Legend for her longstanding contributions to improving the quality of life in the community.
